SADDLEWORTH Male Voice Choir members have said a fond farewell to long-serving musical director Damian Cunningham.
Mr Cunningham took up the role in 1997 and has enjoyed great success on the festival and competition circuit.
He has also overseen the choir’s three CDs, including “With a Voice of Singing” which was recorded in March, 2005, to mark the 50th anniversary.
The choir has also appeared on “Songs of Praise” and recorded several items for the “Sunday Half Hour” radio programme.
Mr Cunningham will take up a new role as director of schools for the Shrewsbury Diocese.
