THE restored clock tower of St John’s Church in Failsworth has been unveiled after eight years of fundraising by parishioners to raise £135,000.
Church warden Roy Pollitt said: “It’s marvellous. A lot of effort has been put in by a lot of people, such as our parishioners and local businesses, who have contributed money towards this.
“We’d especially like to thank English Heritage for the work they have done with us.”
