Limehurst land housing sell-off
Date published: 18 April 2014
OLDHAM Council is to dispose of surplus land in Limehurst Village in the hope of building new, high-quality homes.
The council is looking for a developer to build around 120 homes for sale and private rental at plots in Rowan Tree Road and White Bank Road, all former clearance sites.
Councillor Jean Stretton, Cabinet member for co-operatives and neighbourhoods, said: “This is the next important step in our plans to transform Limehurst. The successful developer will need to show us how they will maximise training and development and work-related opportunities for local people.”
