LEGENDARY comedy double act Cannon and Ball will return to their spiritual home on Friday - by performing at Lees and Hey Conservative Club.

The Oldham duo will host a variety show with support from compere Jimmy Semple and local band Smashing Lads.

Cannon and Ball — real names Thomas Derbyshire and Robert Harper — first performed at the club in the early Sixties.

Event organiser Gary Clarke said the club wanted to show it remained strong despite closure rumours.

“We want to make it a night to remember,” he said
