A ROYTON woman was robbed by machete wielding thugs.
Four men knocked on her door in Highfield Drive on Tuesday evening and forced their way in when she opened the door. One had a stick and another was carrying a machete. The four ransacked the house and stole mobile phones, a watch and cash.
One of the offenders was white, 6ft tall, in his 20s and had short brown hair. He was wearing a baseball cap and spoke with a local accent.
Police are now appealing for witnesses to the terrifying crime.
Dete Cons Gulnaz Akhtar, of Oldham Division, said: “This was a terrifying experience and the victim is understandably very shaken.”
