A MEMORIAL to 10 Oldham men who fought in the Spanish Civil War will be unveiled at Oldham Parsh Church tomorrow.
To mark the 75th anniversary of the end of the conflict, Oldham Council has worked with the International Brigade Memorial Trust to reinstall a memorial plaque that has been in storage at Gallery Oldham for years.
Oldham Mayor Councillor John Hudson will unveil the memorial at a commemoration ceremony at noon, alongside Rev Derek Palmer, Dolores Long, chair of the International Brigade Memorial Trust and daughter of Sam Wild, the last Commander of the British Battalion.
