Police called to school brawl

POLICE were called to a fight between pupils at Chadderton’s Radclyffe School on Tuesday morning.
A spokesman said the incident is not being treated as a crime and will be dealt with by the school.
Claims that a staff member had been assaulted and taken to hospital were denied.
Police increased patrols around Chadderton on Wednesday and again yesterday to disperse youths from local schools gathering in the area after several disturbances were reported.
One youth was taken into custody and Greater Manchester Police issued a warning to others yesterday via social media: “Anyone contemplating further disorder needs to think carefully. We will come looking for you and you will bet a criminal record will follow.”
