Sadd Festival’s family fun

SADDLEWORTH is gearing up for the return of a family music event to celebrate the community’s support for good causes this summer.

Sadd Fest 14, organised by Saddleworth Round Table, is at Saddleworth Rangers’ Shaw Hall Bank Road ground in Greenfield on August 30.

The festival, launched a year ago, will showcase musical talent drawn from local bands and artists.

Event organiser Dave MacDougall said: “This year’s festival already has all the ingredients of a really memorable family day out. I’m confident the final line-up will ensure a huge turnout.”

Money raised by the festival will help to fund Round Table’s Christmas party for the elderly and a Christmas scene-setter in Uppermill.
