NORTH Chadderton School pupils enjoyed the sweet smell of success at a competition to find Greater Manchester’s best student business.
Its Sweet Course Candles team will represent Greater Manchester in the North-West final in Knutsford on June 19 after finishing second in the Company of the Year category at the Young Enterprise competition at Manchester Metropolitan University. Managing director Chloe Booth also won the Student of the Year prize.
A dozen schools and colleges took part in the event and were judged on how they produced, priced and promoted their ideas. The North Chadderton company, set up by sixth-formers, impressed with its range of dessert-scented candles.
