Man accused of attempted murder

A ROYTON man accused of attempting to murder a woman has been remanded in custody.
Matthew Graham (29), of Burnsall Grove, appeared at Bury and Rochdale magistrates court yesterday after attacking a woman and leaving a knife in her neck. He was also accused of attempted robbery and possessing an offensive weapon.
The 30-year-old woman was knocked down and stabbed on Thursday evening in Rochdale.
The case was adjourned to Manchester Crown Court on May 21.
