Hotel bids for 20-bed expansion

PREMIER INN: expansion plan.
A BUDGET Oldham hotel is hoping to add another 20 rooms.
The Premier Inn chain’s hotel on Chadderton Way has submitted a planning application for a two-storey extension, boosting capacity by 50 per cent to 60 rooms.
The hotel, which opened in 2002 has been recognised by owners Whitbread as one of the group’s best performing locations in the region.
The extension, to be built on land currently used for car parking, will be linked to the current building through the south side of the existing building.
Car parking at the site will also increase from 98 spaces (including four disabled, to 105 (five disabled) as a result of the development.
