A man has been ordered to pay more than £1,200 compensation after causing damage at three pubs in two months.
Christian Haslam (22), of Milnrow Road, Shaw, pleaded guilty at Oldham Magistrates’ Court to three counts of criminal damage at the Coach and Horses, the Pineapple Inn and the Weaver’s Arms, all in Shaw, between February and March.
Haslam, who was not represented, said: “I had problems with alcohol, I was going through a hard time.”
The magistrates imposed a six-month community order and an alcohol treatment for six months.
He was also ordered to pay £300 compensation towards the Coach and Horses, £300 to the Pineapple Inn, £550 to The Weavers, and £85 in costs and £60 for victim surcharge — a total of £1,295.
Magistrate Alan Moss said: “Our concern is that you have got a history of drinking. Take the opportunity to do the treatment.”
