A CAR stolen by machete-wielding robbers who forced their way into a terrified couple’s home has been found in Chadderton.
The blue Audi S3, stolen from a family in Littleborough in a terrifying ordeal that led them to lock themselves in their bedroom to escape, was recovered by police at Firwood Park on Tuesday night.
Though the man and woman locked themselves away, the three masked robbers kicked down the door and threatened them with a machete after smashing their way into the house with a rock.
During the traumatic robbery the thieves also stole a black BMW 330 and a £2,500 Tag Heuer Aqua Racer watch. Both are still missing.
Anyone with information on the incident or stolen items can contact police on 101 or Crimestoppers, anonymously, on 0800-555 111.
