Designs for the future on show at Gallery
Date published: 06 June 2014
OLDHAMERS can see how plans for the new Coliseum theatre and Heritage Centre are shaping up in Gallery Oldham’s latest exhibition.
The proposals involve bringing the old library building in Union Street back into use and making the most of the surrounding land to create a vibrant cultural hub for the town.
The plans and designs on display are all working documents and the exhibition — “Designs on our Future” — is an important stage in developing them further.
Alongside the news plans are displays charting the origin of Oldham’s library and museum in 1883.
