Church Whit walkers set for services

WHIT walkers are hoping for a sunny Sunday to keep them dry during celebratory processions.
In Royton, congregations from Trinity Methodist, St Paul’s and Royton Moravian Church will leave their respective churches at 10.30am and parade around the district centre before returning to their churches for services.
At St Anne’s Church, in Royton, worshippers will walk to the Royal Oldham Hospital from noon and hold a service outside the main entrance to which patients are invited.
Town-centre churches will gather in the grounds of Oldham Parish Church at 11.30am and parade into the town centre, pausing for a short service before returning to the parish church for refreshments.
Eight churches from Failsworth will gather at St John’s Church for an outdoor service at 3pm.
