Trust’s £50,000 charity boost
Date published: 06 June 2014
YOUNG people in care are being given a helping hand from former Oldham businessman Norman Stoller.
The former Seton company chairman’s foundation has given £50,000 to the Share Foundation Trust, which helps children in care with financial help and advice.
The money will help to continue the trust’s “£1,000 at 18” competition over a wider area.
This asks 15 to 17-year-olds in care to say how they would make best use of £1,000 when they turn 18.
A winner is chosen each month and that amount is paid into his or her Junior ISA.
