DIGGLE’S annual Blues Festival was hailed a hit by droves of fans - and organiser David Wood is already looking forward to a repeat next year.
“The job of organising the festival has grown bigger, and now expectations are higher. I’m looking for volunteers, though I have had many offers of help already. It brings a lot of money to the venues and the village.
“The feedback has all been good — some said it was the best festival so far and the standard of musicians was higher than ever.”
The festival launched with its first American musician, Kent DuChaine, followed by Sons of the Delta and the Mudcats Blues Trio. Garron Frith — a folk/blues artist held the audience’s attention and the Backwater Blues Band were the first group to be invited back by public demand.
