AN 82-year-old man was injured after he was run over by his car.
The man, believed to be from Derbyshire, had halted opposite the Rams Head pub at Denshaw when the incident happened yesterday.
It is believed he got out of the car, which knocked him down and rolled over him then collided with another stationary vehicle.
Alex Haigh (23), the daughter of Rams Head landlord Geoff Haigh, and a neighbouring farmer helped while a doctor passing on her bicycle gave first aid until an air ambulance arrived.
Alex said: “Luckily the doctor was able to offer support before the emergency services got to the scene.”
The man, accompanied by a woman passenger who was unhurt, was taken by air ambulance to hospital with leg and thigh injuries.
