Weekend of fun goes with a bang

THOUSANDS of locals filled the streets of Shaw for the parish council’s annual Family Fun Weekend.

Sunday’s sunshine brought fun seekers out in their droves after a wet Saturday on which international street football expert Craig Gorey showcased his amazing ball skills.

The highlight of the event was the Vintage Vehicle Rally in Market Street.

Councillor Mark Alcock said: “Everyone had a great time and things really picked up on Sunday when it was cracking the flags. Thousands of people enjoyed themselves.”
