Shooting: Man charged

A MAN has been charged after two men were shot in a car in Oldham last week.
Andrew Marcus Burke (35), of Holland Road, Crumpsall, was charged with possession of a firearm and appeared before Salford and Manchester City Magistrates’ Court on Saturday.
The hearing followed an incident on Sunday, June 29, where two men were sitting in a Seat Leon on Radcliffe Street, St Mary’s, at around 10.20pm when the gunman approached, spoke to the occupants briefly before shooting them both.
A 19-year-old man was taken to hospital for injuries to his abdomen and the other, 20, for treatment to injuries to his buttocks.
A handgun and live ammunition have subsequently been recovered by police, who are continuing to investigate.
