Our Win a Wedding couple say ‘I do’

The happy couple
THE colour blue won blushing bride Sandra Langley an £8,000 wedding so she could tie the knot in style with fiancé Scott Normington.
The couple got married at Smokies Park, Bardsley, with Scott’s sons, Brandon (13) and Cameron (16) acting as ushers.
Sandra (32) scooped the Win a Wedding competition in the Chronicle, giving the couple a prize package including a civil ceremony and wedding breakfast for up to 60 guests.
She also won a DJ, drinks and buffet for 120 evening guests, a dress from Bella Rose Bridal, a bouquet from Alison’s Floral Boutique and transport from High Style Cars.
Venue dressing was from Balloons and More, and Howard Nilsen Photography captured the day on camera for the happy couple, while Outrageous Fortunes Casinos provided a manned casino table for the evening party.
Sandra believes her late mother Mary brought her the luck she needed to win.
The couple, who have been together for seven years, were planning to get married in 2012, but when Sandra lost her mother in October everything went on the back burner.
So when she saw the competition she decided to have a go.
She collected coupons from the Chronicle and completed the popular wedding phrase “something borrowed, something . . .” and before she knew it, she was planning her wedding to Scott (33).
