One last gig for Million Billions
Date published: 15 July 2014
A SOUL/FUNK band that took Oldham by storm in the Eighties and Nineties are getting back together for a one-off reunion gig on Saturday.
The Million Billion Band disbanded in 1996 after singer Paul Errock was taken ill in Las Vegas while on tour.
The Oldham seven-piece, who formed in 1989, were very popular in the town and played at venues such as The Hurricane Club, the Cabaret Club, Austerlands Cricket Club and the Crowther Barn in Saddleworth.
Tony Livings on trumpet, guitarist Gary Marshall, drummer Dan Hough, bass player Matt Norton, vocalist Paul Errock and trombonist Phil Harrop will soon be joined by lead guitarist Terry Oldham — who is flying in from his home in New Zealand especially for the reunion.
The one-off reunion gig is taking place at the Picturedrome, Holmfirth — doors open at 7.30pm and tickets can be purchased from www.picturedrome. net/tickets.
