Eamonn O'Sullivan is all set for Glasgow
BUS drivers from Oldham are on their marks and all set to go to Glasgow to provide transport for athletes at the Commonwealth Games.
Bus operator First has won a contract to transport athletes, officials and the media, as well as provide spectator shuttle services at the event which launches with an opening ceremony today.
The drivers have volunteered to be part of a 700-strong driving pool.
Local driver Eamonn O’Sullivan said: “We’re all very proud to be part of the Commonwealth Games and proud to represent First. We’ll be going all out to set new driving and customer service personal bests.”
Business manager of First in Oldham, Ian Hulse, added: “First’s bus and rail services will play an integral part in the success of Glasgow 2014.
“I’m delighted that a number of our drivers are to be part of the First team this summer and I’ve no doubt they will act as fine ambassadors for First.”
