ASDA worker Claire Garlick was tickled pink to lose all her locks.
Claire, who works at Asda Shaw, said she’d always wanted to have her head shaved so she decided to do it for her employers’ Tickled Pink breast cancer charity — and dyed her hair to match!
Claire (40), from George Street, Shaw, did the deed in front of shoppers at the store and raised a fantastic £800. Some of her managers even had a go at shaving her head.
“There are lots of people to thank for helping me and donating things free of charge, including community life colleague Kim Leigh who organised and arranged everything,” said Claire.
“I also want to thank Janet and Robyn at Hairbar for dying my hair pink and Shaun, from Market Street Barbers, for coming and finishing my hair off for me and everyone who turned up and helped raise £300 on the day.”
To commemorate the event Claire will also have a Tickled Pink tattoo done free of charge by Wicked Tattoos.
