LIGHTS will go out across the borough tonight as Oldham pays tribute to the fallen on the 100th anniversary of the outbreak of the First World War.
Oldhamers are encouraged to join millions of people across the country in turning off their house lights and lighting a solitary candle for an hour at 10pm tonight.
Services to commemorate the anniversary of the outbreak of the war were being held across Oldham throughout the day.
