Gail’s dream debut

A SHAW grandmother is celebrating after seeing her debut fantasy horror novel in print.
Gail Campbell (53) wrote “Fractured Minds” a story about a young woman who has terrible recurrent dreams about a girl who needs to be rescued from a dark force that has snatched her from the real world.
The woman thinks she’s just having nightmares but realises that the girl had actually disappeared in real life.
Gail, who works in sales, said: “I dream an awful lot and the majority of the time remember what my dreams have been about. They are usually quite random and weird.
“When I told my husband, Ian, he always said I should write a book about them, so I thought why not use the idea that dreams could be true, it’s just another place and time, and write a story about it.
Gail found herself living in Oldham after leaving the Wrens (Women’s Royal Naval Service).
“I even managed to get a Wren into my book, just a small mention near the end, but I really wanted to get her into my story as being in the Wrens was a great time in my life and something I was and am so proud of,” she added.
Both the paperback (£8.99) and the Kindle version (£1.99) are available from Amazon.
