"Todoandahooha" rehearsing Telling Tales
BUDDING thespians from Oldham Theatre Workshop will be rubbing shoulders with some of the star names from the arts when they make their debut performance at the world’s biggest arts festival.
Todoandahooha — a company made up of members of OTW aged 18–25 — are taking their play “Telling Tales” to the Edinburgh Festival Fringe from August 16-24.
“Telling Tales” comprises a series of morality stories exploring some of the injustices in the world today.
The stories include everything and anything, from the challenges of life as a sloth to the murder and controversy surrounding the racially-motivated murder of Steven Lawrence in London 20 years ago.
“Telling Tales” takes to the stage on Saturday until August 24.
Also making their debut performance at the Fringe are Le Petit Artiste (LPA) — a children’s theatre company based in Oldham and working in partnership with OTW.
They opened their adaptation of Hans Christian Andersen’s “The Ugly Duckling”, yesterday and will complete their performances on August 24.
The Edinburgh Festival Fringe features around 50,000 performances.
