YOUNGSTERS from across Oldham turned out for a jobs fair and football tournament organised by Greater Manchester Police (GMP).
Off the pitch, matching youngsters to possible careers was the aim of the event, which saw the Army, Royal Navy, several apprenticeship providing companies and local colleges demonstrating what they had to offer at the fair held at North Chadderton School.
On the pitch, police officers and more than 150 local teenagers then took part in a seven-a-side football tournament for 14-16-year-olds.
The idea behind the football tournament was to provide young people with an opportunity to engage with their local police officers and develop a bond.
A police team took part and each team was managed by a police officer.
