FIVE Oldham Sixth Form College students are flying high after winning places at the country’s top universities.
Naomi Sutton, Daniel Stanley and Rebecca Leech are all off to Cambridge while Krish Rittoo and Katy Haigh are heading to Oxford.
Rebecca was thrilled with her 4 A*s in biology, chemistry, maths and physics, which allowed her to get a place at Cambridge to study natural sciences.
She said: “My results are much better than I expected — the maths exam was really hard. I can’t believe I’m going to Cambridge!”
Principal Jayne Clarke said: “Oxford and Cambridge are the most difficult universities to get into — there’s a gruelling selection process so these five have done fantastically well. We wish them all really well in future careers.”
