TALENTED Sophie Bamber has topped off dance floor success with A-level success.
The Oldham Sixth Form College student will study primary school education at Manchester Metropolitan University after getting A* in dance and 2 Bs in English literature and psychology.
The 18-year-old, from Marsden, also picked up four regional freestyle dance titles at the IDTA North West qualifier at Wytheshawe Forum.
She won her age group in both the solo and slow categories as well as the pairs competition with dance partner Ciara Durr.
The duo came second in the rock and roll category while Sophie was part of the group from Pure Dance Academy, Oldham, which won the team dance. She will now represent the North-West at the national finals in Blackpool in November.
Sophie fitted in her revision with training six days a week and said: “It was all right really — it was time management — and it gave me a bit of relief from my studies.”
