Four arrested in murder inquiry

FOUR men have been arrested in connection with the death of a young father whose body was found in Dovestone Reservoir.
A murder investigation was launched after Craig Wilcox (28), from Failsworth, was found at the Greenfield beauty spot by an underwater search team on February 26.
Craig, who had a six-year-old son, was reported missing after he was last seen 18 days earlier at a relative’s house in Failsworth. He had told friends he was “in trouble” and people were after him.
Two men, aged 29 and 53, have been arrested on suspicion of murder; a 25-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of conspiracy to murder. All three also face cannabis production charges, as does a fourth, 52-year-old man. All been bailed.
Det Chief Insp Terry Crompton said: “We are still appealing for the public’s help to tell us what happened to Craig before he died.”
