Daughter (74) helps her father to celebrate 100-up!

CELEBRATIONS were in order on Friday as an Oldham war veteran celebrated his 100th birthday.
Thomas Farrimond served in the Territorial Army before he was called up to for World War Two and served in North Africa.
Mr Farrimond celebrated the landmark with his family and friends at Asbourne House, where he has lived since 2012.
Deputy Manager at the home, Sharon Richardson said: “He had a massive birthday party with all the residents here and his family. We got lots of presents and a fantastic cake. He really enjoyed himself.
“I’ve known him all the time he has lived here and he’s still in great physical shape for someone of his age.”
Born to parents Joseph and Ethel he had two sisters Rhone, now deceased, and Emily.
He married his wife Lillian in 1936; they couple met when she offered him water at Hartshead Pike, above Oldham, on a hot day.
Thomas had two children with Lillian. Peter (72), passed away last year and Irene (74) still visits her dad regularly.
