A BRAVE mum is celebrating after smashing her fund-raising target for a charity for women who suffer cancer during pregnancy.

Pride in Oldham nominee Eva Royle, from Delph, hosted a charity night for the Mummy’s Star charity at Uppermill Civic Hall featuring a Robbie Williams tribute act among other entertainment.

Eva, who hoped to raise £4,000 on the night believes the event might have blown her expectations out of the water and raised upwards of £5,000.

Eva said: “The show went fantastically well and we managed to sell out.”

Eva gave birth to baby Sam after being diagnosed with breast cancer while pregnant in 2012.

The charity offers advice and links to other families in the same situation or financial support for counselling sessions, childcare and mortgage payments.

Mummy’s Star was set up by Pete Wallroth, whose wife Mair was diagnosed with breast cancer while pregnant and who died 10 weeks after giving birth.
