PUPILS at Firwood Manor preparatory school in Chadderton were in for a surprise when they saw who had been invited to open their new classrooms.

Former Manchester United ace Paul Scholes cut the ribbon on the school’s new pre-school, music department, library and modern languages classrooms aftr a major refurbishment over the summer holidays.
