FIVE generations of a family’s women came together to celebrate a 100th birthday on Tuesday.
Mary Beels, who has lived in Oldham all her life, was joined by her daughter, granddaughter, great-granddaughter and her great-great-granddaughter on her birthday.
They all gathered at Mary’s house in Sycamore Avenue, Chadderton — where she has lived for 65 years — for a tea party to mark the big day.
Mary married her husband William in 1936, and they were together until he died in 1971. They had two children, William and Mary.
