FRIEZLAND primary school is celebrating after receiving a £30,000 to develop new outdoor sports facilities.
The school received the cash as part of Sport England’s £18 million National Lottery funded Primary School Facilities Fund, designed to help schools develop play areas.
The money will be used to build an all-weather games space for the local school.
Fay Wilson, PE co-ordinator at the school, said: “I am so pleased we have been awarded this money to improve our facilities.
“It is exciting to think that we will have a high-quality outdoor multi-sport area, not only of great benefit to the children at Friezland School, but the local community too.”
