Threat nurse suspended
Date published: 08 October 2014
A nurse who threatened to "flatten" a patient for wandering around Pennine Care Trust's Parklands House at the Royal Oldham Hospital has been suspended for six months.
Bradley was described at the Nursing and Midwifery Council hearing as 'intimidating' and 'aggressive' towards patients.
Suspending Bradley for six months after finding his fitness to practice was impaired, panel chairman David Newman said: "On the basis of the oral and documentary evidence the panel has found that Mr Bradley had in effect threatened the patient by saying he would 'flatten' him.
"There was no evidence that the patient had been acting aggressively or inappropriately at the time.
The panel hasn¹t been provided with any evidence of remorse on the part of Mr Bradley. He has not engaged with this hearing. In light of the above, the panel cannot be satisfied Mr Bradley does not continue to present a risk
