Saddleworth’s longest serving landlord Ray Hicks is toasting success with his roadside pub winning a four-star rating from international travel site Trip Advisor.
And beer-loving customers at the Three Crowns, Scouthead are raising their glasses to the pub’s ales gaining recognition in the nationwide Cask Marque scheme.
Ray (64), who took over the inn 36 years ago, said: “Pubs and inns have gone through tremendous changes over the years — but I would do it all again.”
The Chronicle’s popular “Come Dine With Us” series is to visit the Three Crowns on Tuesday, November 25.
