COUNTING the cost . . .Adrian and the large branch that crashed down on his car during the height of yesterday’s gales
DRIVER Adrian Murray was left counting the cost as the tail-end of Hurricane Gonzalo batterred Oldham with gusts of almost 60mph.
The gales snapped a large branch which landed on Adrian’s Vauxhall Astra parked outside Turf Lane Lifelong Learning Centre, Chadderton.
Adrian (27) said: “It was lucky that I wasn’t in the car at the time.
“About five minutes before it happened I was thinking about moving my car, but I changed my mind.
“My car’s damaged but it could have been much worse.”
