Oldham town centre’s prize-winning floral display
THE floral display that formed the town centre part of Oldham’s winning entry in the Britain in Bloom contest cost around £70,000.
Councillor Barbara Brownridge said: “Oldham’s entry was about more than flowers.
“It was about input from our parks and gardens team, community groups and schools and this is what judges found appealing about our entry.
“I am proud that we won gold in the best city category; it was well worth the money spent.”
