Sadie Dawson: 100 today
SADIE DAWSON may be frailer than she once was, but it hasn’t stopped her celebrating her 100th birthday today.
The former auxiliary nurse was born in Yorkshire and worked principally as a housekeeper.
She retired to a flat at St Clement’s Court, Oldham in 1980.
Sadie, who now suffers with dementia, moved in to Shawside Nursing Home in Shaw five years ago and now lives in Beech House, Shawside.
Christine Ford, activities co-ordinator at Beech House, said: “Sadie is a proper character — kind and very caring.”
