A PAEDIATRIC doctor who lived a Jekyll and Hyde life and advertised for “slaves” on the internet faces jail after admitting a catalogue of child sex offences.

Dr Raza Laskar, a junior paediatric doctor who worked in different hospitals around Greater Manchester, had built-up a secret online library of up to 1.2 million indecent images.

He admitted to meeting a 15-year-old boy in a hotel and filming sex acts. Police revealed 12 victims — all boys younger than 16 — have been offered counselling, but this doesn’t include those shown in the many thousands of indecent images found on his computers and phones. None of his victims were patients.

Married Laskar (32) of Ashton, pleaded guilty to 31 charges and will be sentenced on January 9. The charges included sexual activity with a child, causing or inciting children in sexual acts, voyeurism and making indecent photographs of a child.

Police said Laskar lived two lives. He posted advertisements online to entice others saying “30-year-old male wanting slaves”.

Laskar was arrested in April after the National Crime Agency alerted GMP to 1,605 files showing indecent images of children made available on a file-sharing site. The poster’s unique address was traced to Laskar.

Computers were seized and as well as more than a million images, hundreds of chat logs were reviewed and videos recovered that led to the identification of other victims.

Judge Peter Lakin said he faces a “substantial custodial sentence”.
