THE use of electric vehicle charging points in Oldham has picked up in the last six months.
Introduced in September 2013, none of the nine Oldham public points was used in the first month.
But in September this year they were used 111 times - almost a ninth of all charging sessions in Greater Manchester.
Use of Greater Manchester charging points has increased almost twelve-fold during their first year of use. In September this year, 974 sessions were recorded, 11.8 times more than the 82 sessions in September last year.
Over 300 points have been installed around the region, including three public rapid chargers.
