TWO young girls were repeatedly sexually abused by Ibrahim Kara in secret over a period of many months, a court has been told.
The sisters, aged six and eight at the time, were too frightened to speak out at first, though the elder later admitted to her grandmother what was going on.
The allegations against 35-year old Kara only came out after a violent row in January.
Kara punched a woman in the face several times and threatened to kill her, Manchester Crown Court was told.
The trial jury heard it was only after the incident that the girls’ mother was told what had allegedly been going on.
Christopher Lowe, prosecuting, said the grandmother had been told Kara had sexually molested the elder girl at a caravan park last August. Some weeks later the younger sister was interviewed and made similar allegations.
Kara, of Sawley Road, Miles Platting, pleads not guilty to 10 counts of sexual assault against a child, one of assault occasioning grievous bodily harm, and one of assault by beating. Kara has continued to maintain his innocence.
The elder girl told the court via video link she was “scared and shocked” at what was happening.”
