Illegal cigarettes seized in raids

THOUSANDS of illegal cigarettes were seized by local trading standards officers during a three-day operation.
Operation Fishy clamped down on counterfeit goods and in Oldham six premises were visited and three seizures made - including cigarettes, tobacco and spirits.
Across the region, officers visited 25 premises uncovering more than 1.2 million illegal cigarettes, 68 kilos of hand-rolling and ethnic tobacco and around 2,000 litres of alcohol.
