Support rains in after BBC appeal

A CHARITY is reporting a surge of interest after a Hollinwood-based family support worker featured on the BBC’s Children in Need appeal.
The Rainbow Trust, which provides support for families caring for seriously-ill children, was featured on the BBC show as Sean Tansey explained his role.
Sean’s role is currently funded by the BBC Children In Need appeal. Since the television event the trust has been inundated with messages from viewers interested in learning more about its work and how to get involved.
Kate O’Neill, digital marketing manager at Rainbow Trust, said: “The response we’ve had has been incredible. Our vision is that one day all families who need us will have Rainbow Trust’s support.
Rainbow Trust has nine care teams across the UK, whose 45 family support workers care for almost 1,700 families.
