Mary Lazenbury: celebrating
AN active lifestyle has helped Mary Lazenbury reach her 100th birthday.
Mrs Lazenbury, nee Hanley, of St George’s Square, celebrated her birthday at Moston Conservative Club yesterday surrounded by her loved ones.
Son Jack (66), who works as a driver in Jersey, said it was the “willpower” that kept his mother going over the years: “She’s always active and never stops, even now.”
Mrs Lazenbury, born and brought up in Oldham, worked in the cotton mills at one time and then at Ferranti in Hollinwood.
