Impish Lloyd Coulter’s love of an ace schoolboy rogue has earned him a unique place in a comic’s hall of fame.
Drawings of nine-year-old Lloyd, from Greenfield, appear in a Dennis The Menace storyline in The Beano as part of a prize for winning a competition in the comic.
He also received £1,000 worth of Tesco shopping vouchers.
In the Dennis the Menace and Gnasher strip, Walter the Softie comes up with the ultimate anti-menace plan — trapping the naughty pair inside a human hamster ball.
All seems to be going to plan as Dennis and Gnasher struggle to escape - until Lloyd comes to their rescue.
Lloyd’s father Mike, a property developer, said his son kept his competition entry secret from his mother, Naomi and his sister Nianh (12).
Said Mike: “Lloyd has become a real fan of Dennis the Menace and his gang.
“We were really delighted when he won and that his caricature would feature.”
Lloyd said: “I never thought I’d win but I’m thrilled with the prize. I’m going to frame the cartoons and put them on my bedroom wall.”
The Beano editor Craig Graham said: “A massive well done to Lloyd — we hope he enjoyed appearing in The Beano.”
