Festive favourites from musical youth

THE Queen Elizabeth Hall was alive with the sound of music as hundreds of youngsters showcased their skills.
Oldham Music Service staged its annual Christmas Festival, giving around 300 young musicians the chance to perform for family, friends and guests.
Oldham Youth Orchestra, Oldham Youth Wind Band and Oldham Youth Brass Band performed a selection of festive hits old and new while choirs, including Vocal Recall, Oldham Girls Choir, the Musical Theatre Group and Oldham Community Pop Choir sang a selection of Christmas carols.
The Junior Christmas Festival, featuring 300 young performers, will be held at the Queen Elizabeth Hall tonight, from 7pm.
