SHOCKING CCTV footage shows the terrifying moment three men armed with an axe and a knife robbed a petrol station.
At around 6pm on Saturday the three men went into the Texaco station in Oldham Road, Failsworth and threw a brick at one of the shop assistants. Then they pushed the two staff into a kitchen, kicked down a door and attempted to open the safe. Failing to do so, they grabbed cash from the till and drove off in a grey BMW.
The first offender is described as white, around 6ft tall with a slim build. He wore a long-sleeved black top, black trousers, black gloves and a black mask. He carried a knife.
The second offender was white, 5ft 7in-5ft 8in tall and of slim build. He wore similar clothing and carried the short axe. The third man was 5ft 6in tall dressed the same way.
Det Con Mike Hayman said: “The two victims were fortunately unhurt, but understandably shaken by the force and aggression.”
